Jackson Bottom Ash Tree Management Tour - Will depart from PATIO
11:45 pm ¼ mile guided tour led by Laura Trunk (City of Hillsboro). This short, ~ half-hour tour will take participants through Jackson Bottom to learn about Washington County’s long-term management plan to protect restoration efforts and preserve ash. The tour will include sites with active emerald ash borer monitoring, sentinel trees, a tree girdling demonstration, and more. The tour may also feature a discussion of research efforts to hunt for EAB-resistant Oregon ash to safeguard the biodiversity of this at-risk species.
