US Fish and Wildlife Service

Theresa currently focuses on Aquatic Invasive Species-related activities throughout the Pacific Region, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, parts of Montana, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Fish and Aquatic Conservation (FAC) Program. She has worked on water resource issues in both North and South America for more than 20 years, including aquatic invasive species, native fisheries, and water quality monitoring.

Oregon’s Comprehensive and Coordinated Approach To Protecting Our Immense Natural Resources From Invasive Pests

Wyatt joined the Oregon Department of Forestry in 2012 as the agency’s Invasive Species Specialist. He focuses on the prevention, detection, and management of exotic plants, insects and disease on Oregon’s 11 million acres of non-federal forests. His projects at ODF include Oregon Forest Pest Detector program, Oregon ash conservation, statewide surveys for emerald ash borer and other invasive wood borers, Scotch broom biological control and aerial surveys of forest health conditions, including invasive plants.

Strengthening Invasive Response Through Partnerships: A Case Study of Sudden Oak Death

Sarah Navarro, Regional Sudden Oak Death Pathologist
USDA Forest Service

Sarah Navarro is the Regional Sudden Oak Death Pathologist for the US Forest Service. She provides technical assistance to the Pacific Northwest Region on Sudden Oak Death and other invasive Phytophthoras. Before joining the Forest Service in June of last year, Sarah worked for the Oregon Department of Forestry for the last four years at the statewide Forest Pathologist.
